Wax Tailor aka JC Le Saout made this video himself. He is one of the graffitti artists featured here. The track features The Others and appears on the Wax Tailor “Tales Of The Forgotten Melodies”album. Video for “To Dry Up (feat. Charlotte Savary)”from Wax Tailor, directed by Laurent King and starring Clément Sibony and Clémentine Poidatz. Original song from the album “Hope &Sorrow“. Click on the image to launch the trailer for Wax Tailor‘s second album “Hope &Sorrow”featuring Sharon Jones,Ursula Rucker,A State of Mind and many more. During the recording of the album,we tried to gather video footage of each artist performing on the album, and then JC put it together at home. Video for “Our Dance (feat. Charlotte Savary)“,directed by Laurent King. The original song is from the Wax Tailor album “Tales of The Forgotten Melodies“. Among the people sitting in the restaurant is Laurent Collat, who mixed the album and whom I knew from his band “Elegia“. You can also catch a glimpse of Wax Tailor in the factory. A very bizarre video, which was directed by Hugo Arcier. Hugo took images from his video installation “les 5 siamoises”(the 5 siamese) and shot additional footage to fit the mood of the song. A truly mesmerizing moment which seems to be very popular on the West Coast for some reason…The original song can be found on Wax Tailor’s “Tales Of The Forgotten Melodies”album. This song originally appeared on Wax Tailor‘s first ep “Lost The Way“. I don’t think its aged a bit. It already has that distinct Wax Tailor trademark, with the movie sample dialogues and the haunting cello from Marina Quaisse, who was a college roomate of Wax Tailor. The video was directed by Seamus Haley. The dialogue at the end comes from the Charlie Chaplin movie “The Dictator“. | ||||||
