Arnaud Rebotini holds a special place in the world of Electronic Music. One of the originators of dance music in France,he attained world recognition when he formed Black Strobe in the early 2000’s and conquered the dancefloors with hits such as Innerstrings or Me And Madonna.
Two years after the last Black Strobe album,Arnaud Rebotini comes back with his first solo album Music Components.
Rebotini aims to recapture the excitement of early dancemusic.. His idea was to build a live set without resorting to any laptop or external sequencer. He limited himself exclusively to using emblematic synthetizers such as the Roland TR 909,TR808,SH 101,JUNO 60,or the Korg Mono/Poly. The result is analbum of romantic and timeless loops where Rebotini goes back to the hot and groovy sounds of his first productions, playing his vintage synths with an unrelenting aggressive spirit that have whipped up the world’s dance floors into sweating frenzies.
This is a techno purist’s dream album, close in philosophy to the work of Jeff Mills or Ritchie Hawtin.
